Activities:The work package is divided into two areas. The activities involved are:
A1 Board of directorsPartners identify and invite members of their institutions to participate in the board of directors.
The remit of this board is: 1) to develop and sign the long-term operating model (cooperation agreement) for the elene consortium 2) to develop, with the assistance of the project team, a common policy statement on the theme 'preparing universities for the ne(x)t generation of students'.
The board will meet twice during the project lifetime, once online in 2007 and once at the Bremen conference, April 17th 2008, for the public signing of the cooperation agreement and to refine the draft policy statement.

A2 Policy makersAll partners identify policy statements and policy makers at local, regional, national and EU level. At the same time, they identify schedules of planned meetings and make formal proposals for getting ICT Teaching and learning competencies on the agendas of these meetings. Other specific meetings should be scheduled with policy makers. A detailed summary of each meeting will enable partners to take into account policy decisions and for policy makers to be better aware of grassroots initiatives.
